NewSpring Capital Adds Two Investment Professionals
RADNOR, PA,November 18, 2010- NewSpring Capital, a family of private equity funds providing capital to companies primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced that Evan Horton and Jaques Clariond have joined the NewSpring team.
Evan joined NewSpring Capital as an Associate. Previously, Evan was an Associate at WestView Capital Partners where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, selecting, and monitoring growth equity investment opportunities in the lower middle market. Prior to joining WestView Capital, he managed operations for a multi-unit franchise platform and achieved operational metrics representative of the top 5% of all locations nationwide. Prior to his operating role, Evan was an Investment Banking Analyst at Bear Stearns where he was involved with capital financings and mergers and acquisitions.Evan graduated with a BBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan and an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
Jaques joined NewSpring Capital as an Analyst. Prior to joining NewSpring Capital,Jaques was an Investment Analyst at Vanguard where he evaluated and monitored multi-manager portfolios across various fixed income and equity mandates. In this role, he assisted in constructing multi-manager portfolios and co-managed the cash allocation process across all sub-advisor portfolios. As a member of Vanguard's manager search team, he was also responsible for selecting prospective money managers by performing quantitative and qualitative due diligence.Jaques began his career in 2005 by joining Vanguard's rotational leadership development training program: Analyst & Client Engagement (ACE). Jaques is a graduate of Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
